Rucy's Vanity Gleamy Lipstick Review

10:45:00 AM

A few weeks ago the Rucy's Vanity team sent me some of their products and I was excited to try it out since I've already read about them from local blogs.  I've been using the Gleamy Lipsticks in Red and Hot Pink for the last couple of weeks to really get a feel of how they perform...

Product Info from Rucy's Vanity
Rucy’s Vanity Gleamy Lipstick gives a moisturizing effect that will keep your lips feeling and looking healthy while give a hint of color. Vibrant colour & intense shine.

Retail Price: 150.00

these are the shades Hot Pink and Red

What I like about it...
- very affordable
- lightweight
- applies smoothly
- extremely moisturizing
- the texture and consistency reminds me of a tinted lip balm
- lasts a good 3 hours on my lips without eating or drinking
- gives a good sheen but does not look too shiny
- leaves a bit of stain on my lips
- did not darken my lips
- did not experience any allergies and irritation on my lips

What I don't like...
- it smells and tastes like laundry soap, but not overpowering
- comes with a very lightweight plastic type packaging
- has a very sheer consistency
- I have to apply about 3 layers to get a good color pay off

My rating: 3 / 5

Here's the swatch on my hand. It took me about 4 swipes to get a good intensity of the lipsticks. So overall, I find it be a good lipstick considering the affordable price.  I would recommend this to girls with dry lips, since the texture and moisture of this lipsticks would really help. Also, I'd like to point out that these lipsticks sit pretty well on my lips and it does not look patchy at all. However, if you prefer matte and opaque lipsticks just skip this.

Just visit Rucys Vanity Cosmetics to find out more about their products.

Until next time.

Cheerios!
