• The 10% off November discount code (NOV2013) can be used when purchasing the new kits.
• You will receive an E25 mini as a free gift if your sub-total is over $30 at the time of checkout.
I'm really lemming for the Extreme Color Payoff Kit, as it will be very helpful in the precise application of eyeshadows especially if you're working with several colors.

is there a specific kit that you want?

Finally bought the ever famous Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler last September 2012, during their first visit here in Cebu. You can check the event HERE.
I've been using this eyelash curler for about 4 months now, both on myself and my clients as well. It was love at first use! I'm really impressed how this eyelash curler fits majority of my clients' eye shape. Prior to purchasing the Shu Uemura Eyelash curler, I have been using the ELF Studio Eyelash Curler and Revlon Eyelash Curler.
One thing that I instantly noticed about the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler is that, it fits my eye perfectly. It also does not give that stiff looking "L" shaped lash when I hold it too long. I'm guessing that's probably because of the silicone pad used for the curler, which also helps give that perfect curl.
The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler has a smaller opening compared to my other lash curlers. It opens just enough for you to comfortably fit your lashes in.
The gold variant of the lash curler retails for Php 1,400.00 if bought locally at Rustan's. However, I'm sure it only costs half the price if bought in Japan. The silver variant is slightly cheaper at Php 1,100.00.
Each box of Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler comes with a free silicone pad which has the Shu Uemura brand engraved to it. I'm sure it will take years before I could use the extra pad.
The Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler is very easy to clean, I just use baby wipes to remove dirt then it's good as new. After 4 months of use, the gold plate on the curler didn't fade at all not even a little.
I have a good friend who is also a Makeup Artist, she has been using her Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler silver variant for 4 years now and it is still in good condition.
I can now understand, what made the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler famous. Having an eyelash curler that will last for years and give you that perfect lash curl without tugging your lids is definitely worth it.
Until next time.

Before I tried using the Mac Brush Cleanser I was used to washing my make-up brushes with just a mixture of liquid hand soap and baby shampoo. I cleaned my brushes this way every two weeks. I got tired of doing this because my brushes takes too long to dry and sometimes the face brushes has to be washed twice before I dry them out. Another thing, the brush ferule gets wet most of time and I'm afraid it might cause my brushes to start shedding.
A few months ago, I finally decided to buy the Mac Brush Cleanser. I've used this cleanser for a couple of times during my Mac stints in Rustan's Ayala Center Cebu and I was impressed with how quick it cleans the brushes.

Product Info from MAC Cosmetics
This one product will clean, disinfect and condition the brush fibers so that brushes will last longer. It is convenient to use and is specifically designed to extend the life of high quality brushes. Brush Cleanser leaves your brushes smelling fresh and clean, and helps shorten their drying time.
Retail Price: $14.00
Retails for Php680.00 locally
Before and After using the Mac Brush Cleanser
What I like about it...
* effective since it dries out the brushes really quick
* removes dirt on brushes easily
* no unpleasant smell
* small amount goes a long way, I had this bottle since May and it's still half full. I just transferred some of the product in to an atomizer or spray bottle. I spot clean my brushes every after use especially on makeup gigs.
* it did not shed the brush fibers either synthetic or natural hair
What I don't like...
* it is expensive since it's only 235ml
My Rating: 4 / 5
Overall, this an good brush cleanser. But I have to try out other brush cleansers from various brands, so that I can really compare. I'm planning to buy the Parian Spirit Brush Cleaner next so that I can compare the two.
I still wash my brushes with the liquid hand soap and baby shampoo mixture, but I only do this once a month just to really get rid of the brush dirt. Makeup brush cleansers and just good for spot cleaning.
Until next time.

My hair tools finally arrived. A few months ago, I asked my boss to buy me these two Conair hair tools at Walmart. He went back home to New York after 4 long years of staying here in the Philippines. I knew he was coming back last June, so I emailed him a couple of links for the tools and asked him to buy those for me. Fortunately, he agreed. I paid him for the items and shipping. ^_^
I got these two on my hands last June 28, 2012 and already tried using it for a couple of times. They are awesome for personal use!
If you don't know what hot rollers are, these are rollers used for setting hair that gives off soft curls. These are just heated rollers. If you know how to use hair rollers or hair curlers, using this will be easy. You have no idea how hard it is to find hot rollers/ hair setters here locally.
I tried scouring through malls even online shops but they are nowhere to be found. I did find one online but the price was just crazy high. You can buy this Conair HS34R Compact Hairsetter in the US or you can always try Amazon.com.
Before choosing these two Conair tools, I did check if they where dual voltage. So that, I won't have to buy any sort of plug adapters when I use them. That was one of the things I had to consider before buying these. Another thing I had to consider is the price, these are so affordable yet very good quality. I also read some of the reviews of these products from the Walmart website and both have 4 stars rating. ^_^
Until next time.

This is what the actual hair rollers look like
There are a lot of tutorials available on Youtube about how to use Hot Rollers, just in case you'd like to know who to use them and what kind of curls they give.
I also got this
I chose this hair dryer because it's foldable and it's purple. LOL! I don't want to carry a heavy hair dryer during my makeup gigs. So I had to find one that is lightweight and works well. I couldn't find one locally that's affordable enough. You can buy this Conair miniPro Tourmaline Ceramic Styler folding hair dryer in the US or simply buy this at Amazon.com.

Ever since I learned how to use false eyelashes I've been hooked into buying all sorts of falsies. I don't use them regularly but I set them aside for my clients. It's fun to try out different types of false eyelashes, since this is the only way I get to test and know which lashes work best for clients.
I was literally all smiles when I saw this pair of lashes. It's the first pair I bought that came with a set of lower lashes. I've never used false lower eyelashes before since they are really hard to find. So, I'm really excited to try this. I bought this at Fooda Super Market here in Cebu, I'm not sure where else to find this. It retails for only Php 40.00 pesos.
If you can't find the full sized tube of the Face Shop eyelash glue, you can opt to try out the Andrea ModLash Adhesive found at Beauty Bar or you can also buy it from the Dolled Up Makeup Studio & Supply. They are both are reasonably priced at around Php200.00 and it works great.
Until next time.
left XLH, right #02
I love these two false eyelashes from The Face Shop especially the one the left. I just like how my lashes look so full with just a flick on the sides with the XLH variant. Even though these are synthetic, I like how thin the band is. In addition to that, I like the Face Shop lash adhesive that comes with each pair. I originally wanted to purchase the full size lash glue/adhesive from the Face Shop, but it's always out of stock. Thus, I keep repurchasing their eyelashes since it comes with a glue which is the same quality as the full sized one. This retails for only Php 115.00 pesos.I was literally all smiles when I saw this pair of lashes. It's the first pair I bought that came with a set of lower lashes. made in Indonesia
I found these Miss Adoro Eyelashes on ebay.ph from a seller called Balikbayanbargains. I've never tried Human Hair lashes, so this is a first. Just look how lush and fine these lashes are. I can't wait to try these out, I'm just saving them for a special occasion. These are Php 135.00 pesos each plus shipping, so it becomes pricy because of additional shipping fee.
By the way, if you are interested to buy Human Hair false eyelashes you can also check out Dolled Up Makeup Studio & Supply on Facebook. They sell Wink falsies for only Php 150.00 a pair. Just click their photos and go to False Lashes and Accessories Album, you will see tons for beautiful falsies like the one below.
I also liked the natural false eyelashes being sold at Landmark. I bought a few pairs during my short stay in Manila last June (click HERE), now I want more of their natural lashes. It's only Php 45.00 pesos each.

I'm not sure if you ladies remembered, but a few years ago around 2008 the Brush Guard was released. It was such a craze on youtube that almost all beauty gurus had them. A few months ago while I as looking for disposable mascara wands, I accidentally found this cosmetic brush guard from a Hong Kong based seller on ebay.ph as I was perusing through different beauty tools.
While the original Brush Guard costs about $5.00 per pack which contains only 5 to 8 pieces of brush covers, this cost only $1.00 at ebay and it has free shipping. There's a catch though, since it is from Hong Kong, it takes a long time for it to arrive. I got mine after 60 days of waiting.
What I like about this is that, it's a continues roll of 1 meter plastic mesh which you can cut to whatever size you want. Thus, you can make about 10 to12 brush guard strips for only a dollar (about 43 pesos). This has a medium size width, so it can fit most of my makeup brushes.
As you can see in the photos above I cut the mesh to different sizes depending on the size of brush. I hope this would give our local online entrepreneurs an idea to also sell this on their shop, so that we won't have to wait 2 months for this to arrive. ^_^
I've never used the original brush guards, but I'm quite happy with this. Share your experiences if you've used them. Until next time.

Etude House Fresh Nailwash Safe VS The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover
3:43:00 PMSo here's the thing, I've been using the Etude House Fresh Nailwash Safe Nail Color Remover for a while now and I've been loving it so far, but I had to try out the Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish Remover when I read Nikki's (askmewhats) review about it. So, I decided to compare the two.
- inexpensive, retails at Php 98.00
- this pink variant smells really good
- doesn't leave white casts
- doesn't make my nails dry
- removes nail polish effectively
- inexpensive, retails at Php 95.00
- has a fruity scent like strawberry
- doesn't leave white casts
- doesn't make my nails dry
- removes nail polish effectively
Here's the Difference between the two
- The Face Shop nail polish remover is slightly cheaper than the Etude House Nailwash- both really smells good but the The Face Shop smells much sweeter
- both comes in a 100 ml bottle
- both has a cute Pink packaging
- the lid on both removers has small holes but The Face Shop one has a smaller diameter which mean less spillage
- the Etude House remover comes in a regular twist cap while The Face Shop comes in a childproof cap which you need to press down and twist counter clockwise to open.
- both does a good job of removing nail polish easily
- both does not leave white casts after using
- both does not leave my nails dry but the Etude House remover feels much more moisturizing
My Verdict, although I find that the Face Shop nail polish remover has better packaging, I like the Etude House nail polish remover better because of the milky-ish formula it has which leaves my nails moisturized.
I would definitely recommend both nail polish removers since they both have good quality, but I'd prefer to repurchase the Etude House nail polish remover. It's really just a matter of preference. :D
Till next time.

I finally decided to try out G-lish products by Patrick Rosas. This cosmetic line is only available in Manila, good thing they have a website which takes orders online http://www.g-lish.net/.
I read a post from Shopcoholic's blog about G-lish and made me curious about their products. I browsed through their website and found a 7-pc Brush set which really caught my eye. I bought a 7-pc brush set, a bronzer, and a mini gloss trio. They have a flat shipping rate of Php 80.00 which is great.
Here's a Quick review on the G-lish products I bought.
* inexpensive
* cute design
* very handy, about 3-4 inches in length (it's more like a travel brush set)
* the eye & lip brushes where very soft
* the lip brush had a cover which transforms into a longer handle
What I don't like...
* Both the blush brush and powder brush were stiff
My Rating : 3 / 5
The Bronzer in Caffeine Rush was sold at Php 120.00
What I like about it...
* inexpensive
* cute design
* it can also be used as a shimmery eyeshadow
What I don't like...
* it's powdery or chalky
* it's not pigmented if used as an eyeshadow (needs an eye primer for colors to show)
My Rating: 3 / 5
The Mini lip gloss trio was sold at Php 60.00
What I like about it...
* inexpensive
* I get to try 3 gloss shades
* smells good
What I don't like...
* it was too sticky
* the colors barely showed
* the gloss lip brush easily breaks
My Rating : 3 / 5
To put it simply, I wasn't impressed.
I felt like wasted my money on these. (sigh)
Maybe I was just expecting too much of the product, and as you can tell it was a big let down. Oh well, that's why product reviews are here...lol
I hope you all had a fulfilling Sunday.
EDIT: Just received another set of mini lip gloss trio from G-lish today (Dec 2, 2010). They sent me another set since all lip brushes from the trio I bough were detached.
I'm so glad they replaced it for free... Yeepee... Thanks G-lish.

Gurls, these are all the brushes I own. Still saving to get high quality brushes. I'm currently eyeing the ones from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics and the ELF Studio Brushes (I wish I knew where to buy those here in Cebu...lol)
These are Random brushes I picked from Watsons and Metro Ayala Cebu. The first three brush are from Marionnaud (awesome brushes!!!), the next two are dual tip generic brushes, then followed by three ELF brushes, the next three are from Watsons and Lastly my one and only generic powder brush which I picked at Metro Ayala and I bought it for only Php 119.75. The powder brush is definitely a worth it!
I hope you got some inspiration from all of this.
Have a good day!
