What is Nordgreen?

Nordgreen is a danish watch brand launched in 2017, with a mission to deliver true Scandinavian design and lifestyle to everyone. They offer minimalist, customizable, Scandinavian watches designed in Copenhagen, Denmark. By renowned Danish designer, Jakob Wagner.


Since Nordgreen watches are customizable, I got to pick the design, size, color and material of my watch. You may check out their website for other designs available.

I chose the design in Philosopher.

You might be wondering what is Vegan Leather, this straps are made from a cotton and polyester blend giving you an excellent faux leather experience. The straps come in several types, which include Genuine Italian Leather, Stainless Steel Mesh, Nylon Straps and Rubber Straps.

Another thing to note is the Nordgreen quick-release straps, which are designed efficiently to make interchanging your band effortless. No tools to labor over, so there’s no hassle removing the spring bars when you want to swap straps, to suit your style.


As for the materials, they use
- 316L high-grade Stainless Steel
- Sapphire Glass, making it scratch resistant
- Japanese Quartz Movement by Miyota
- versatile, interchangeable straps
- Water resistant up to 3 ATM, this means it can only withstand a splash of water or rain


Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of this watch. It is very comfortable and lightweight to wear. The design itself is sleek, classy and timeless. Nordgreen really captured the modern minimalist design, which you can use daily and never go out of style.

In addition to that the company captures emphasis on sustainability. Exemplified by their recyclable packaging and partnerships with sustainable manufacturers.

Price range is around $200 to $300, depending on the design and materials that you choose.

Lastly, I would like to mention that shipping is really fast. Considering that this was shipped all the way from Denmark during ECQ due to Covid, it arrived on my door step in only 12 days here in the Philippines via FedEx delivery service.

Been eyeing this powder for so long, I finally bought it during the Rustan's Beauty Addict event here in Cebu last October 2019. I have been looking for a sheer powder that I can carry with me daily and use for touch ups.

It was perfect timing since I just hit pan on a couple of powders. So, I found an excuse 😅 (I'm pretty sure you beauty addicts can relate hehe).



The Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural is a sheer, light coverage powder but still has excellent oil control. I prefer this over full coverage powders since I normally wear liquid foundation. This is indeed really good to use as setting powder after my usual liquid foundation. Since it's sheer, it just disappears on my skin while removing shine, without making my skin look flat.

The darker shades of this powder can be used as contour powders as well. So if you're looking for a nice soft looking powder contour, I would recommend looking into the deeper shades of the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powders.

On good skin days, when I don't want to wear foundation. I just use the Mac strobe cream as base, then set it with this Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder, and finish it off with the Mac Fix Plus spray for a healthy, dewy makeup look.


Overall, I am really pleased with this powder and I'm really glad I bought it. The only downside to this is, it can get a bit powdery on the pan. I would recommend using a soft, fluffy brush to apply this all over your face.

I found another makeup gem from the drugstore. It is the BLK Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow from @blkcosmeticsph .

I got the shades called The Bomb and Gorgeous. Both have matte finishes. They also have other variants that has some sheen to it.

Been using these liquid eye shadows since last summer and I found that these are really smudge-proof and waterproof even when I played in beach and the swimming pool!

It has excellent pigmentation, so a little goes a long way. It applies smoothly, but you would have to blend it right away since it sets rather quickly, thus I prefer to use a synthetic eyeshadow brush to apply this.




In addition to that, these are very affordable at only 299 each. You can find these at Watsons or in the SM Beauty Section.


Using this liquid eyeshadows takes a bit of practice. And I find that a slightly dense synthetic brush works well since it can easily blend the product. A little goes a long way with these, so what I normally do is, I take a small dot of the product and put it on a glass surface. Then I dip my eye shadow brush from there, so I can easily control how much product to apply. It is much cleaner this way, than to put it in the back of my hand, since the liquid eyeshadow sets quickly on skin.

First time having my nails done with Nail Art and nail extensions, and I'm so happy with how it looked! This is the prettiest my nails has ever been 😅 since I normally do not get any manicure. Purely because I practice Jiu Jitsu and short nails are required.

For those who are curious, nail extensions can be done in several ways and different materials. The most popular is Gel Nail Extensions which was the method used for my nails. It is a combination of the same gel polish which is used for gel nails and clear press-on nails. The press-on nails are used to add length while the gel polish serves as a glue and sort of protection for your natural nails.


The outcome is as long lasting and as strong as Acrylic Nail extensions, but without the harsh chemicals that comes into using acrylics.  In addition to that, the process time is much faster compared to acrylics. It can last up to 3 months, but I already had mine removed after two weeks since I am not used to having long nails, so I find it hard to do things.
