Cebuana Beauty Bloggers Meet Up

This is our first ever Cebuana Beauty Bloggers Meet Up! The plan finally pushed through. You can only imagine how excited I was to meet all of them. The location was Ayala Center Cebu Terraces, Bo's Coffee at Fully Booked Store. I won't keep you waiting, here are the photos.

If you guys follow me on Twitter, you probably know how much I want to meet fellow bloggers in person. I was hoping for this to happen and it finally did. It really was a super fun Friday night, and I'm so happy to have finally met these beauties. There was so much stuff to talk about in so little time, I hope to meet with them again.

I watch Janah and Noe's videos on Youtube all the time. Trust me, they're really fun to watch and they're even more fun in person. By the way, if you don't know yet, Pearl is the sole proprietor of Dollface Cosmetics. Kristine is one of the editors for InstyleCebu, she's also the Lifestyle writer for Freeman/PhilStar newspaper. Cool!

It really was such a pleasure to meet Khymm of Shopcoholic, because her blog is the first one I ever found and the reason why I got inspired to start beauty blogging. I was all giddy when Raine brought her Urban Decay Naked Palette and a couple of MAC lippies. It was my first time ever seeing those products up close, since I don't own any high end makeup. LOL!

Stopped by at Noodle House before going home we were hungry!

I found a really compfy Bedroom Sleepers at the Ka King Department store for only Php 112.00 which I've been using at the office. They all asked where I got it...hehehe

I also stopped by at their Watson's branch and guess what, I found "Beauty Treats" and "James Cooper" Brands in there. Those brand's I mentioned are not available in SM or Ayala Center Branch.

The last thing I bought was a white flat Sandal from Target. I found it in one of the stalls inside Park Mall, it was the one and only sandal they have with the Target brand and it was a size 11. I was so happy, I felt that it was meant only for me...hehehe. I got it for a bargain price of Php 600.00 and by the way, it's made of pure leather! It's just so comfortable to wear.

I'm excited to show this, since I've finished several Skin Care products that I've been using for a couple of months. It just feels great to really finish and empty out a bottle or a tube.

L'Occitane can be found at Rustan's. It was gift from my best friend, she actually gave me 2 bottles of the lotion. It smells really good and it's super moisturizing. As for the Human Nature Body Butter, I got it from my mom before I became a Human Nature dealer, you can visit their website HERE or you can contact me if you want to purchase Human Nature products. The rest of those products are items I purchased at Watson's, my favorite Beauty Store.

And also, I would like you to know that the SkinWhite papaya variant smells super nice and it has SPF10 as well, you should try it out!

My Birthday Giveaway Winner is...

Hey guys, it's Sunday night and my Birthday has come to an end. I was so tried walking around Park Mall all afternoon looking for a good pair of Sandals, which I didn't find. I really just couldn't find anything I like that fits me. I have big feet size 10 or size 41, so you can only imagine how hard it is for me to find a pair of nice looking sandals or shoes that really fits.

I had a simple Birthday celebration at my parents house during lunch time and that was it. I just tasted the most delicious chocolate cake ever! which my younger brother bought for me, thanks bro. It was a chocolate cake from "Kate's". It can be bought, at Rustan's Grocery Ayala Center Cebu branch.

Overall, I liked the fact that I get to shop around on the day of my Birthday...LOL... I also would like to thank everyone for remembering my birthday and for all the lovely greetings I received today. Hugs!

Valentine's Dinner

Celebrating Valentine's day with your loved one doesn't have to be expensive. As long you get to spend time together, that should be great. To celebrate Valentine's day, my hubby and I had a simple dinner a local Dimsum Restaurant here in Cebu. We went to "Golden City" located at "The Walk" IT Park.

Mom's Birthday

Mom's version of Green Salad

Contains Lettuce, big slices of red & green Tomatoes,

diced Ham, diced cheese, Italian vinegret and Ceasar's dressing.

I love this salad! It's so easy to make yet very tasty.

Mom's Spaghetti

I just love mom's spaghetti. I tried copying her spaghetti sauce recipe but I just can't get it to taste the same. She adds a lot of spices and herbs on to the sauce and she also uses canned tomatoes instead of your usual spaghetti sauce. It's just yummy!

Mom's Chicken Cordon Bleu

She puts in big chunks of cheese inside together with honey glazed ham! Absolutely delicious! I tried making this at home, it was an absolute fail! hahaha. It tasted great but I coudn't get the chicken to stay intact. I have to ask mom how she does it. hehe

We celebrated Mom's 52nd birthday last Jan. 30, 2011 and this was just few of the home cooked meals she prepared for her birthday. It was nothing big, just a simple family gathering. There was Crispy Pata as well, but I failed to take a picture. Lunch ended with Red Ribbon's Tiramisu and Magnolia Chocolate Marble ice cream. Yumyum...

Watch in Box !?!

I'm so excited to share with you what I got last weekend!

Last Friday (Jan. 21), I was about to end my shift at 3:00PM my hubby suddenly texted me to come home as soon as possible without telling me what the reason was. I honestly thought it was something urgent or maybe we were going to buy some groceries. But when I got home I asked him what was wrong. He replied, "nothing" I just wanted to you come early. Ugh! I was pissed because I really was hurrying home.

So I went straight to our bedroom to change clothes. When I finished, I simply cleaned the room, picked up some used shirts and placed it on the laundry basket. I was about to go down stairs but I noticed that there was a black box sitting on top of my hubby's stack of law books. Beneath it was a note on a white piece of paper addressed to me. (sorry can't share with you what the note said...hehe)

To my surprise, it was my hubby's belated Christmas present for me! I was so happy that I really jumped and hugged him so tight (plus smooches, lol). That was so sweet of him... I received a lot of presents from my friends and family last Christmas that I completely forgot, he didn't get me anything for Christmas...lol

Without further adieu, Here it is! an XOXO Women's XO114 Rhinestone Accent White Enamel Bracelet Watch that he bought from a friend Doctor who just arrived from the US.

I know that this doesn't cost much, but I really appreciate what my husband did for me. It feels like an early Valentine's gift! It's definitely the thought that counts. (hugs and kisses to my hubby!)

Working with the Boys

Happy Thursday everyone! simply another busy day for me at the office. I just wanted to share with you this picture my colleague took last December 2010. I was cleaning and organizing the files on my office computer and I stumbled on this photo.

If you noticed I'm the only girl there. That's me in the center with absolutely no makeup. In fact, I'm really the only female on the Technical Support Specialist Team. There are 3 more guys who were not included in this photo since they are on a different shift. Our Systems department is composed of only two sections, the technical support staff and the systems administrators. There is also only one female systems administrator, so there are only 2 girls under the Systems department. (now you know why I blog...lol)

This photo was taken at our "Data Center" that's where all the company servers are stored. In case you're wondering, I work for iComm International. I'm really glad to be working with these guys, it is always fun everyday. Not only do they treat me as one of the boys, they also teach me a whole bunch of technical stuff. So, I'm on the verge of "information overload"!

I'm an IT graduate, so my interest in technology and computers will always be a part of me.

I hope you weren't bored with my ramblings. I just decided to share a tinsy bit about me for a change. I'm planning to make more posts on other categories and not just make-up, so as to give my blog a little spunk.

The year 2010 that was...

So many things happened to me in 2010 and it was a bad year for me. Our house was caught on fire last April 30, 2010, we really lost everything and I mean everyTHING. Despite that incident, I am still thankful to God that my family is safe and nobody got hurt. We're temporarily staying at my father inlaw's house.

Last June 2010, my grandmother died due to Sepsis, she was bed-ridden for 2 years due to stroke and many other complications. We're all glad that she has finally rested and free from all that pain.

Careerwise I made a lot of bad decisions, but I finally got the job I wanted last August 30, 2010 when I became a Technical Support Specialist for an IT Company. As an IT graduate I have always dreamed of becoming a Systems Administrator, now I am several steps closer to that.

Last November 2010, I started blogging and this time I really had something to blog about. I found wonderful fellow beauty bloggers and awesome readers. Blogging has become a productive past time for me and in a way has helped some of my friends learn about putting on makeup.

My Husband and I ended the year 2010 by visiting Sto. Nino Church here in Cebu last December 27.

Our new house is about to be completed and is on its final stages. We're moving in to our new house this weekend January 8, 2011. Yeeppee!
