Mary Kay Foundation Primer Sunscreen SPF 15 Review

8:00:00 AM

I seldom wear liquid foundation but when I do, I prefer to use a face primer to make it last longer.  I am currently loving the Mary Kay Foundation Primer especially if paired with my Mary Kay TimeWise Liquid Foundation. I honestly think these two together are a match made in heaven. LOL

Product Info from Mary Kay
This lightweight gel glides on easily to fill in imperfections and dries quickly to a matte finish to create the perfect canvas for a flawless foundation application that enhances foundation benefits and extends wear.

Oil free formula with SPF 15* is mineral-enriched to absorb oil and
diffuse light to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores.
For all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Fragrance-free, dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic.

When worn alone, it still provides these skin-perfecting benefits:  helps even out skin texture and improves skin's complexion.

Retail Price: Php 1,375.00

you can buy from Mary Kay Direct Sellers
Retails for $16.00 in the US

tube type packaging containing 29ml of product

product has a gel-like texture which is transparent

What I like about it...
* has a squeeze type tube packaging which
* unscented
* oil-free, thus it reduces shine especially on my T-Zone area
* has a non-sticky gel-like texture that dries to a matte finish
* helps smooth out fine lines
* minimizes the appearance of large pores
* has a very thin and lightweight texture, feels absolutely nothing on my face
* makes foundation application a breeze since it evens out my skin texture. I have tiny bumps and warts on my face and this primer helps even it out.
* helps my makeup last longer, about 8 hours or more especially if I use the Mary Kay liquid foundation. I have also tried using other foundations from Revlon, Maybelline and Mac with this face primer and works well with it too.
* a little goes a long way, I only need to use a pea-sized amount of product on my entire face
* no allergy or irritation experienced even with continuous usage

What I don't like...
* a bit expensive for only 29ml

My rating: 4 / 5

I'd still want to explore face primers from other brands, so I probably won't repurchase this. However, I would definitely recommend this face primer for you to try out.  It does not disappoint. ^_^

Until next time.

  1. I don't use a lot of face primers, but does it feel like it suffocates your face?
