Makeup Empties as of June 2013

I am so happy to share that I just finished a few makeup products this month. It really feels great to finish up some of my makeup and see that they didn't go to waste.

I haven't bought any makeup for the past few months since I was aiming to use up all the products that I already have in my personal makeup kit. In addition to that, I stopped doing freelance makeup since I'm currently pregnant. Thus, I don't have a reason to spend money on more makeup. ^_^

ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black - It's finally time to throw this cream eyeliner. I've had it for over 2 years! I know it's way overdue but, I couldn't bring myself to throw this out after a year since there's still so much product left. I just had to continue using it. It dried up several times but only a drop of baby oil is all it takes to revive the cream texture of the liner. I finally finished it!  Read full review HERE.

Styli-Style Flat Liner 24 in Blackest Black - I used this up in just a few months, since the product broke. It is an automatic eyeliner pencil and there isn't much product in it. I did like the quality because it really is waterproof, it stays all day and it doesn't smudge. This is a bit hard to work with though, as it doesn't glide smoothly and dries up quickly on my lids.

ELF Mineral Eye Primer - I had this for over a year and I just finished it this month. It contains a decent amount of product and it's very affordable. This is not the only eye primer I have been using, that's why it took a while to finish it. You can read ELF eye primer reviews HERE.

Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara in Black Drama - I think I've had this for almost 2 years! I know I should switch mascaras every 6 months, but I was using this along with other mascaras from my stash. Thus, it took me over a year to finish it. Full review is available HERE.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Papaya - This is the only lip gloss I've been carrying in my makeup bag but it took me almost 2 years to finally finish the tube. I'm not much of a lip gloss lover, so I don't use it on an everyday basis. And do note, this is the biggest lipgloss tube I have in my stash. Read full review HERE.

Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm in Pink Blossom - It's a nice tinted lip balm. Can be handy when you're in a hurry. I like that it's very moisturizing and the stain does last a bit longer that I expected.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain in Passion - I used this up in just a few months since it dried out very quickly. I didn't really like this because it stings my lips. It is also very drying, so I use the lip balm that comes with it. However, the shade is pretty and it lasts long.

I do not intend to repurchase any of the products mentioned above since there are already a lot of better makeup products out in the market with a similar price range.

How about you ladies, what makeup products have you finished recently?

Until next time.

Cheerios!

  1. A drop of baby oil is what takes to revive a dried up ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black?? But but but... I use baby oil too (or sunflower oil) to remove it. How do you make it work?

    1. I really just add a drop of baby oil into the jar then mix the dried up product with a toothpick. then it's revived. That's all I did.

  3. Just Bitten looks cool but I'm afraid. Why does it sting?! I'm finding it's about time for a ban as well, just find it so hard to keep myself from buying good makeup.
