What is Nordgreen?

Nordgreen is a danish watch brand launched in 2017, with a mission to deliver true Scandinavian design and lifestyle to everyone. They offer minimalist, customizable, Scandinavian watches designed in Copenhagen, Denmark. By renowned Danish designer, Jakob Wagner.


Since Nordgreen watches are customizable, I got to pick the design, size, color and material of my watch. You may check out their website for other designs available.

I chose the design in Philosopher.

You might be wondering what is Vegan Leather, this straps are made from a cotton and polyester blend giving you an excellent faux leather experience. The straps come in several types, which include Genuine Italian Leather, Stainless Steel Mesh, Nylon Straps and Rubber Straps.

Another thing to note is the Nordgreen quick-release straps, which are designed efficiently to make interchanging your band effortless. No tools to labor over, so there’s no hassle removing the spring bars when you want to swap straps, to suit your style.


As for the materials, they use
- 316L high-grade Stainless Steel
- Sapphire Glass, making it scratch resistant
- Japanese Quartz Movement by Miyota
- versatile, interchangeable straps
- Water resistant up to 3 ATM, this means it can only withstand a splash of water or rain


Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of this watch. It is very comfortable and lightweight to wear. The design itself is sleek, classy and timeless. Nordgreen really captured the modern minimalist design, which you can use daily and never go out of style.

In addition to that the company captures emphasis on sustainability. Exemplified by their recyclable packaging and partnerships with sustainable manufacturers.

Price range is around $200 to $300, depending on the design and materials that you choose.

Lastly, I would like to mention that shipping is really fast. Considering that this was shipped all the way from Denmark during ECQ due to Covid, it arrived on my door step in only 12 days here in the Philippines via FedEx delivery service.

Althea Korea now has a Makeup line! It was released early this year so I have been testing it out for a few weeks now. I was lucky enough to have received the exclusive Althea Makeup Box.

The Makeup Box came with the following:
Flawless Creamy Concealer with 4 shades

To start with, here is their Flawless Creamy Concealer. It retails for only Php 200 each.
This concealer features:

Multi-layer Moisture Retention
With a moisturizing formula. It keeps the skin feeling plump and hydrated while providing the complexion with a fresh, semi-matte finish.

Skin Enhancing Formula
The concealers are buildable and have a long-wearing, all-day formula that doesn't oxidize. It also smoothens unevenness of the skin to give a perfected look.


I liked using the concealer on my undereye area and for brightening certain areas of my face. It works really well for that purpose, but it lacks coverage if you are wanting to conceal spots and blemishes.

Another product from the Makeup line is the Althea Watercolor Cream Tint.
They released 4 shades:
- 01 Plum Cream
- 02 Strawberry Cream
- 03 Peach Cream

All colors are wearable and it is something you can easily mix together. Formulated with both water and oil, this emulsion type consists of 40% hydrating solution.


1. Pigmented on the lips as in the bottle
2. Glides easily onto the lips without a sticky, heavy feel
3. Strong hydrating effect
4. Invigorates the senses with a happy, sweet fruit scent

To put it simply, the Watercolor Cream Tint has the pigmentation of a lipstick, long-wearing power of a stain and moisturizing formula of a gloss.

My rating: 4 out of 5


Up next is their Sunrise and Moonrise Eye Palette in collaboration with Indonesian singer and actress, Bunga Citra Lestari. It retails for Php 1,780.

The BCL X ALTHEA Sunrise and Moonrise Eyeshadow Palette has 8 expertly chosen shades inspired by 2 of BCL's most prominent looks: A fresh look perfect for everyday, and a glamorous look perfect for the stage.


- You can create your own look with various textures such as pearl, glitter and matte finishes
- it has a long-wearing formula that is smooth and blends easily onto the lids
- it has excellent pigmentation which you can apply either dry or wet
- the color selection is something that you can wear alone for that one eye shadow look

There's a little fall out but nothing extreme. I just wished they could have made the formula a bit more buttery. I'd also like to note that the palette has a large mirror which is very handy.

You might not like the shade selection if you prefer using neutral eye palettes.

My rating: 3.5 out of 5


Lastly, here is the Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter. It comes in two shades: Gold Light and Pink Light and retails for Php 300 each

The formula is made with a moisturizing gel that creates a film for longer wear, preventing smudging caused by sweat or water. Just make sure to let it dry for about 5 seconds after you apply on the lids.


It also has a slim applicator that allows for precise and even application. It can be used as an eyeliner, eye shadow or glittery eye topper.

My rating: 4 out of 5


I did a quick tutorial using everything from the Althea Makeup line, including the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway Sunscreen and the Althea Petal Velvet Powder.


For the Concealer, I used Honey for my undereye area and Mocha to cover dark spots and blemishes.
For the lips, I used 01 Plum Cream
For the cheeks, I used 04 Marron Cream
For the eyes, I used shades 1,2,5 and 6
I also used shade 1 in the eye palette as highlight

Overall I'd say that Althea really did an awesome job with their formulation and shade selection for all the makeup products! Everything is absolutely affordable and skin friendly.

I am not sure if you guys know, but I really am a huge perfume junkie. So, when I found out that Althea Korea is releasing their first ever Body Mist, I was ecstatic!

What's good with Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist? 

The Althea team worked very closely with Titi Kamal to produce this new mist. It is a lightweight body fragrance with Titi Kamal's favourite fruity and floral scents: Orange, Peach, and Rose.

My Rating: 4 out 5


I've been using this as an everyday scent since I got it last Mid of December 2018. To put it simply, I really enjoy this fragrance. It really has a fresh citrus floral scent which is really mild and soothing. It isn't overpowering at all. If you like smelling fresh like you just showered, then you will absolutely love this stuff.

The very first time my husband got a whiff of this scent, he said "what is that lovely smell?" He has already asked me twice on different occasions, about what scent I was using. He noticed this scent every single time I wear it and keeps telling me that he really likes the smell of this mist. In my opinion, if the hubs loves it then it's a keeper!

The only downside to this is, it only lasts for about 2 to 3 hours on me. Since, this is just a body mist and not perfume, it is understandable.

Definitely #hollierecommended considering the really affordable price and the lovely scent. I'd say you ladies should give this a try, you won't be disappointed.

Overall Experience and Review

I have been using both the Cozy Hydrating Facial Serum and Cozy Repair Moisturizer for the past month and I have seen awesome results!

When I first started testing this product my skin was not in a good condition. My skin had dry patches, rough areas near the under eye and nose are and big bumps on my forehead area. So, I was simply skeptical but still wanted to find out if the Cozy duo would help. So, I stopped using all other products entirely, except for my facial cleanser.

I stated using these day and night and on the third day, I started having this rough small bumps on my nose and under eye area. I found that it was just a "Reverse Reaction" since I was using an entirely new product on my skin. Since I was not experiencing any other sort of allergy or irritation, I continued using both serum and moisturizer daily. Fast forward, after almost 4 weeks of consistent use, my skin is almost back to the way it once was.


What I like about this...
* both serum and moisturizer are very lightweight
* feels comfortable on skin
* absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky
* has a very mild floral scent
* very comfortable and effective to use under makeup
* a little goes a long way, since it has a slightly runny texture
* it has considerably lighten my skin and my pimple scars
* made my skin look and feel really smooth
* using only two products for skin care is definitely a plus
* very effective and does what it claims

What I don't like...
* not easily available yet, so it's hard to find
* since the consistency of the moisturizer is slightly runny, I hope they replace the jar packaging with a squeeze type tube for convenience.

My rating: 4.5 out of 5

I am truly amazed with how effective both products are. No BS! My pimples have considerably shrunk and the pimple marks have lightened. No more rough skin and textured areas on my face. I also noticed that I did not get any new pimple while I was using these. With just two products to use for my daily skin care routine, it's perfect for any lazy girl! Definitely #hollierecommended!

Unlike other watery toners that I'm used to, this one has a gel-like consistency.  It's very mild and absorbs easily on my skin. I really don't feel like this did something to my skin. However, I would highly recommend this toner to those with dry skin.

Hey ladies! I've missed you all! It has been a while since I posted here in blogsphere. But I just thought this one's worth sharing.

I recently had the pleasure to work with the Kanebo Cosmetics team. It's the first time I've experienced a counter takeover for a few hours. Where we offered beauty consultations and free makeover. It was such a fun experience and I got to find a couple of products from Kanebo that I fell in love with during the few hours that I played with their skin care and makeup.


 I posted about the event all over my social media sites. In case you missed it, here's the e-poster they made for me.


I also had an FB live while doing a fresh day time makeup for a friend. I first asked her what her plans where for the day and what look she's going for. She came in literally bare-faced and just wanted to have a polished look for the day, since she's just going to do errands.



Anyway, I made up a few others who wanted to me to just fix their brows and was just honestly glad they were happy with how their brows looked.


For those who are not familiar with the brand. Kanebo is a high-end Asian cosmetics brand. They are the leading producer of high-quality cosmetics and skincare, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Fun Fact: Kanebo is the first maker of powder foundations.


These ladies really helped me a lot during the event. I asked them about their best sellers and found that their Skin Care line is what their customers comeback for. I've seen first hand on how wonderful the effect is of their skin care. They had a loyal customer who repurchased a ton of skin care, she was in her late 50's but her skin is absolutely flawless, soft and smooth. I was amazed on how lovely her skin looked. I honestly thought she looked like she was in her mid 40's.

I had the chance to experience both the Morgan Taylor and Gelish polishes from the Matadora Collection at Salon de Rose in SM Seaside Cebu during their launch.

I chose the Morgan Taylor Ole My Way shade for my nails then the Gelish Ole My Way on my feet.

I was amazed at how opaque and long lasting the Morgan Taylor nail polish was. It lasted for almost three weeks on my nails without chipping. And to think, I do daily chores at home, like washing the dishes and doing a bit of laundry. I also do Jiu Jitsu every night, which requires a lot of tugging and pulling and my polish is still intact! Definitely recomended!
